Ecuador Galapagos

While we lived in Ecuador we had a chance to visit The Enchanted Islands- The Galapagos.

These islands are a world of their own. The 13 major islands and 6 smaller islets are full of some of the most diverse and rare animal species in the world. As this was a work related trip we were somewhat limited to just the island of Santa Cruz and the Puerto Ayora region. But that doesn’t mean we didn't squeeze as much out of this week long trip as we could. The Drawin museum itself is worth a visit

With laws and regulations in place to protect the islands, the wildlife is fearless and has no problem kicking you out of your beach chair, or eating the crumbs off your table. With the help of governments, research institutions, wildlife protection policies  and benefactors from around the world, the Galapagos is home to a multitude of creatures, big and small, who fear no humans.
