In the southern Andes of Ecuador just south of its 3rd largest city of Cuenca there is a national preserve area called El Cajas. Known for its cold and windy weather, El Cajas is as beautiful as it is wild. You’ll find herd of llamas freely grazing on the hills, and under the strict vigilance of the government, people fish trout out of the thousands of pons that are the staple of the area. One day on our way to a rather large size pond called Laguna de Zorrocucho, we found cattle blocking the road. This scene made for an interesting photograph, the the cattle on the foreground framing the beautiful landscape of the Andes
